State Rep. Randolph Receives Censure
From Florida Democratic League

<<< For conduct undermining Democratic Party chances of recapturing Florida’s House and Senate. >>>

MIAMI, FL – Florida State Representative Scott Randolph’s (D – Orlando) vicious attack against newly elected Haitian-American State Rep. Daphne Campbell is an outrage that should not be tolerated in the Democratic Party, according to Florida Democratic League (FDL) President Sara P. Espinoza. The League, the state’s largest Minority-led Democratic voters’ organization, has issued a strongly worded resolution censuring Rep. Randolph and asking that he resign from the Democratic Party.

“The Democratic Party is not the Nazi Party or the KKK and State Rep. Scott Randolph’s Nazi-like tirade against Rep. Campbell is an affront not only to Rep. Campbell, but to all the people of Florida,” states Espinoza.

“Extremist such as Randolph are the main reason Republicans have been able to reach veto-proof majorities in both the House and Senate despite being outnumbered by registered Democrats in Florida,” explains League Chairman, Dr. Eladio Jose Armesto. “Randolph is an embarrassment to Florida and the Democratic Party. He needs to publicly apologize to Rep. Daphne Campbell or resign from the Democratic Party. If not, Randolph will definitely face additional, stronger sanctions if he ever attempts to run for public office again,” Armesto stated.

TEXT OF FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC LEAGUE RESOLUTION

Scott Randolph Censure Resolution

FLORIDA DEMOCRATIC LEAGUE
(Adopted in Miami, Florida on April 27, 2011)

Whereas Scott Randolph has viciously attacked and nastily disrespected Haitian-American Democratic State Representative Daphne Campbell for upholding the views of her constituents and voting her convictions and civic ideals; and

Whereas Randolph has spewed contempt and voted against important issues consistently supported at the Ballot Box by vast numbers of the registered Democratic voters of Florida; and,

Whereas Randolph’s hate-filled conduct undercuts the election campaigns of Democratic candidates all across Florida and, thereby, seriously undermines the possibility of the Democratic Party recapturing the Florida House and Senate; and,

Whereas Randolph’s support of extremist, anti-Family, anti-Life, anti-Voter Rights ideology cannot be reconciled with the civic ideals and historic values of the Democratic Party, nor with the best interests of the people of Florida; and,

Whereas these actions exhibit extraordinary disloyalty to the countless Florida Democrats, without whom his political career as an elected official would never have been possible; and,

Whereas to remain silent or minimize Randolph’s despicable actions would be to become accessories after the fact to this shameful disloyalty to the Democratic Party;

THEREFORE, be it hereby RESOLVED, that we, the undersigned officers of the Florida Democratic League publicly censure and repudiate the words and actions of Scott Randolph, and ask that he resign as a member of the Florida Democratic Party.

SCOTT RANDOLPH: AN EMBARRASSMENT TO FLORIDA DEMOCRATS

“If my wife incorporated her uterus, you all (Right-to-Lifers) would say hands off.”  — Florida State Rep. Scott Randolph, D-Orlando, March 25, 2011, ridiculing the fact that there were 18 bills dealing with the crime of abortion in the Florida legislature.

Watching, Susannah Randolph, Scott Randolph’s wife is reported to have uttered: “Oh my God, I can’t believe he used that.”

It is truly embarrassing that a Democratic elected official could utter such stupidity. This loud-mouthed buffoon is truly an embarrassment to Florida and the Democratic Party.

Bills dealing with the crime of abortion have to do with Randolph’s wife’s uterus what bills dealing with the crime of drunk driving have to do with Randolph’s wife’s mouth. Absolutely NOTHING!
